In an ongoing effort to provide enhanced quality of services to citizens, Berkeley County Council approved the outline for its new strategic plan. This plan clearly defines Berkeley County's vision and mission:

Vision

A county where all citizens can participate in and enjoy a community enriched by sustainable growth, responsible and responsive government, environmental stewardship, cultural opportunities, and diversity.

Mission

All members of Berkeley County Government, as responsible stewards of the County's resources, are dedicated to facilitating the efficient, effective and safe delivery of public services, while remaining accountable to the citizens. Our citizens and community shall continue to be the beneficiaries of our leadership, teamwork, and vision.

This plan will be the new foundation of our citizen-focused, results-oriented government. Our Strategic Plan is designed to provide guidance and direction as County officials allocate resources to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of quality services to our citizens.
