Josh Godin is a Berkeley County native and lifelong resident. He graduated from Hanahan High School and completed the Trident Tech Lineman Program in 2015. Josh previously worked for Berkeley Electrical Cooperative at the Johns Island office and Sumter Utilities, helping assist power restoration during several storm events impacting SC and other states along the Southeastern coast.

Josh formed a desire for safety during his line career, and in August 2019 retired his climbing gear and accepted a job with Berkeley County Roads & Bridges. He later transitioned to the role of Safety/ Encroachment Inspector & Safety Specialist before being promoted to Safety Superintendent in early 2023. Josh and his wife Ashton have resided in Moncks Corner since 2020.

In his free time, Josh enjoys offshore fishing and upland bird and duck hunting with his dog Hadley.
