MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (Friday, November 22, 2024) – Berkeley Animal Center is temporarily closed to the public due to multiple cases of Parvo at the shelter.  All animal intakes, adoptions, and visits are on hold until further notice. The facility will remain closed to the public and volunteers through Friday, November 29. The shelter will reopen on Saturday, November 30.

This precaution allows us to prioritize the health and safety of our animals and prevent the spread of illness. In addition, the shelter has implemented a strict cleaning, disinfecting, and care protocol to ensure no other dogs contract the illness.

Thank you to our community for understanding this inconvenient but necessary precaution as we continue to focus on the safety of all our animals.
