MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – (Friday, January 17, 2025) – Berkeley County is now taking applications from nonprofits and other organizations interested in applying for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. Registration opened today, Friday, January 17, 2025, and will be available through 4 p.m. on February 28, 2025.

Only those organizations that attended the CDBG Workshop on January 16 are eligible to apply. To receive grant funding, organizations must also meet certain guidelines listed HERE.  To apply, go HERE.

Berkeley County receives CDBG funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to fund activities that primarily benefit low-and moderate- income areas or persons in unincorporated Berkeley County. These funds are based on a formula for entitled cities and counties. Read more about the CDBG program HERE.
