MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – (Monday, June 10, 2024) – After severe storms impacted the area on Monday, June 10, 2024, Berkeley County Government has setup a Citizen Call Line at 843-719-4800. Callers will hear an automated message with storm-related information. Please still call 911 for all emergencies.

The County’s Emergency Operations Center has moved to OPCON 1, which means the Emergency Operations Center has been partially activated with a major event in progress.

STORM DAMAGE: There are multiple reports of downed power lines and trees across roadways around the County. Crews with County Roads and Bridges, SCDOT and local fire departments are working to clear impacted areas as quick as possible. Please do not drive or walk into flooded areas. Reporting storm damage will help Berkeley County staff gauge the extent of damage and report the findings to state and federal officials. These reports will determine appropriate federal and state funding for damage caused by the storm.
