As the holiday season approaches, Cypress Gardens announced plans to offer two of their most popular seasonal events which are quickly becoming a family tradition for many across the Lowcountry.

On Saturday, December 7th, bring the entire family to Santa in the Swamp” from 10:00am – 2:00pm.  At 11:00 a.m., Santa Claus will arrive by boat on the blackwater swamp – an experience that only happens here in the Lowcountry!  He will visit and take photos with both children and pets.  Enjoy live holiday music, vendors with handcrafted gifts, crafts and activities for the kids, and all of the attractions Cypress Gardens has to offer. Children 12 and under are admitted free.

You won’t want to miss, “Scrooge’s Christmas Tea” on Sunday, December 15th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Pamela Ward and the Art and Soul Players will create an elegant Christmas tea and entertain the audience with a live rendition of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol.  The evening will conclude with a torch lit boat ride on the blackwater cypress swamp. Reservations are required for this special engagement. Tickets are $35.00 per person and must be purchased in advance by calling (843) 553-0515.

“Our holiday themed events are becoming quite popular, attracting visitors from across the Lowcountry and beyond,” explains Heather Graham, Manager of Cypress Gardens. “We offer memorable and enjoyable ‘experiences’ that literally cannot be duplicated anywhere else.”
