Biography

Councilman Owens served as a Councilman for the City of Hanahan since 2010. He grew up in the West Ashley area and earned a Bachelor’s in Business from the University of South Carolina – Coastal in 1992. He is currently a middle school math teacher and head volleyball coach at Cathedral Academy in North Charleston. Councilman Owens and his wife Kelly, who works for Berkeley County School District, have two children, Marley, 19, and Parker, 14. They are members of Cathedral of Praise and live in Hanahan.
