Mr. Davis has lived in South Carolina his entire life, except for two years to attend college. He earned his A.A. degree from Chowan Junior College. He then earned his B.A. from the University of South Carolina, and his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of South Carolina Law School. His extensive legal career includes becoming the first African American appointed Deputy Solicitor in the State of South Carolina since Reconstruction. Mr. Davis has been married for 27 years. He has four children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, Mr. Davis enjoys reading, politics and attending sporting events (especially USC Gamecocks football, basketball and baseball).
Mr. Davis supports county-wide recreation, fair allocation of county resources and services, lower taxes, safe water in all communities, noise ordinance and a police presence in rural communities. He is editor of The Voice, a quarterly publication which keeps constituents aware of current affairs in county government.
