Biography

Johnny Cribb has been involved in public service for the past 29 years including the past five years serving as Berkeley County Supervisor. Johnny was born in North Charleston and has lived in Berkeley County for the past 25 years with his wife Teri and children, Brooks and Ashlyn. Brooks is a graduate of The Citadel and is serving as a Combat Engineer in the United States Marine Corp holding the rank of 1st Lieutenant stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. Ashlyn is a graduate of Charleston Southern University earning a Bachelor in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology.

Johnny has served on the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments and Charleston Area Transportation Study Team (CHATS) for the past 15 years. Johnny also served on the Berkeley County Transportation Committee (CTC) for ten years. Previous service also includes the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) Board and Berkeley County Storm Water Advisory Committee. Johnny has served the past five years as an executive committee member of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and has served the past 2 years on the SCDNR Marine Advisory Committee.

Johnny earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel in 1994. He is a 2007 graduate of the Institute for Departmental Management at the University of South Carolina.

Johnny attends Restoration Community Church in Hanahan where he serves as a Community Group leader and a Deacon.

His spare time activities include fishing, mountain bike riding, hunting, yard work, and family time on the Cooper River and Santee Cooper Lakes.
