You are invited to help shape the Francis Marion National Forest’s Land Resource Management Plan, commonly referred to as a Forest Plan. Forest plans provide broad program-level direction for management of the land and its resources. The plan revision process occurs every 10 to15 years. Your voice matters.

At this meeting, learn and share information about:

  • Wilderness
  • Wild and Scenic Rivers
  • Recreation opportunities and cultural/historic awareness
  • Connecting people to nature

Other Activities:

  • Interactive activities for adults and children
  • Opportunity to meet and help Smokey Bear celebrate his 70th birthday
  • Invitation to attend a field trip on Sat., September 13, 2014. Sign up at the public meeting to reserve your space on the field trip.

Date: Saturday, August 16, 2014
Time: 10am-12pm presentations and interaction followed by an Open house with light refreshments from 12pm-1pm
Location: Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center, Hwy 17 N, Awendaw, SC
