Emergency Management, News|

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – (Thursday, August 8, 2024) – Berkeley County crews are assessing damage from Tropical Storm Debby. Residents and businesses that sustained storm-related damage are urged to report it online HERE or via the Citizen Call Line at 843-719-4800 and leave a detailed message. The Citizen Call Line is for non-emergency calls only, and callers will hear an automated response. For all emergency calls, please call 911.

Reporting storm damage will help Berkeley County staff gauge the extent of damage in the County and report the findings to state and federal officials. These reports will determine appropriate federal and state funding for damage caused by the storm.

Berkeley County has transitioned to OPCON 2. All Berkeley County offices are open and operating normal business hours. The County continues to monitor areas most impacted by flooding, including in Cainhoy and Huger. Please stay away from flooded roads and do not drive around/move barricades.
