Cypress Gardens announced their Swamp Safari Summer Camp will be offered Monday, July 21st – Friday July 25th from  9:00am – 4:00pm for children 6-10 years of age. The camp offers a full week of engaging, educational summer programs:

Agenda:
Monday, July 21st – Get to Know Your Swamp Creatures
Tuesday, July 22nd – Bugs & Plants
Wednesday, July 23rd – History Day
Thursday, July 24th – Reptiles & Amphibians
Friday, July 25th – Safety Day & Water Fun Day with Cookout

“This is an excellent opportunity for children to learn more about nature and Lowcountry history,” explains Heather Graham, Manager of Cypress Gardens. “The hands-on programs engage kids while teaching them about the types of plants, bugs, and wildlife they may find around their own homes. We also include a fun session outlining the rich history of our area and a safety program. This is a must attend camp for all elementary aged children.”

The Swamp Safari Summer Camp costs $150/per child for the entire week and includes a t-shirt, backpack, water bottle, snacks and crafts. Space is limited. Please call Liz Vaughn at 843-553-0515 for more information or to register.

Cypress Gardens will be conducting business as usual during the aftermath of the bridge collapse on Cypress Gardens Road. The park will be open during regular business hours and for all scheduled school/tour groups, summer camps, private parties and events.

Visitors are asked to follow the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) detour, which allows access to the park by taking Redbank Road through the Naval Weapons Station to Bushy Park Road. Visitors planning a trip or event at Cypress Gardens may check with the park directly for road updates by calling 843-553-0515.
