MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – (Tuesday, September 17, 2024) – In recognition of National Voter Registration Day today, Tuesday, September 17, Berkeley County Government’s Voter Registration and Elections Office is reminding voters of upcoming registration deadlines. To vote in South Carolina, state law requires a person to register to vote at least 30 days prior to an election.
- October 4 at 5 p.m. – Deadline to register to vote in-person at Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections Office, 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner
- October 6 at 11:59 p.m. – Deadline to register to vote online www.scvotes.gov; by email: vog.csytnuocyelekreb@ervbew; by fax: 843-719-4060
- October 7 – Deadline to register to vote by mail (must be postmarked by this date)

ABSENTEE-BY-MAIL: Absentee-by-mail voting is available for qualified voters. Request an absentee ballot in person at Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections Office at 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner; by calling 843-719-4058; or by mail (P.O Box 6122, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
Applications must be returned to the Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections Office by October 25 at 5 p.m. Completed ballots must be returned to the Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections Office by November 5 at 7 p.m.
POLL WORKERS: Berkeley County needs additional poll workers for the upcoming General Election. Poll workers can earn compensation of at least $200.
