EVELYN HARMON
SUMMARY COURT DIRECTOR

departmentEvelyn began her career in the Clerk of Court’s office as a temp in 1991. That position led to a full-time position in 1992, where the next 14 years was spent learning and working in Common Pleas, General Sessions, and Family Court. Her specialized area was in the Court of Common Pleas where she developed valuable knowledge. In 2003, Evelyn began working for Berkeley County Magistrate’s Court Traffic, Criminal, Civil and Bond Court areas. Evelyn was promoted to Traffic and Bond Court Administrator in 2007 and remained in that position until she was promoted by Chief Magistrate Rad Deaton in 2021 as the Summary Court Director for Berkeley County.
Evelyn has two grown daughters, Tierra and Valita, and three grandchildren—Talaya, Tihanna and Mekhi— and a spoiled Yorkie-Poo, Mya.
