Biography

Randall Matthews is the Director of Real Property Services for Berkeley County, he has been a part of the team since 2017. Over the years, he has advanced through the roles of Appraiser, Senior Appraiser, and Residential Appraisal Supervisor, gaining a well-rounded perspective on the property assessment process.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Winthrop University, with a minor in Geography — a mix that sparked his interest in land use, data, and how communities develop and grow.

In his current role, Randall leads the county’s property valuation operations, focusing on fairness, accuracy, and helping residents better understand the assessment process.
When he’s not at work, Randall enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and hitting the lanes for a good game of bowling.
