Biography

Sam Gaither has served as the Communications Chief for Berkeley County 911 for three years. Prior to serving as the Communications Chief for Berkeley County 911 he served in numerous leadership roles in both the civilian and Public Safety Sector. He has 16 years of Public Safety experience which includes time in both the 911 sector and the fire service. Chief Gaither’s education includes a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from The Citadel, and a Master’s in Business Administration from American Military University.
Outside of work Chief Gaither is a commissioned officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom – Spartan Shield, and Operation Inherent Resolve.
