Hand-Count Audit
The Office of Voter Registration and Elections of Berkeley County will conduct a hand-count audit on:

Audit Time: 10:00 AM
2026 Statewide Primary Election
The Democratic and Republican parties will hold primaries on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Any necessary runoffs will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
Any person wishing to vote in the primaries and runoffs must register no later than Sunday, May 10, 2026. Voter registration forms received by mail will be accepted if postmarked by Monday, May 11, 2026.
Early Voting
The early voting period begins on Tuesday, May 26 and ends on Friday, June 5, 2026. All early voting centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (closed Saturdays and Sundays).

Photo ID Requirement
Voters will be asked to provide one of the following Photo IDs at their polling place:
- S.C. Driver’s License
- S.C. DMV ID Card
- S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
- Federal Military ID
- U.S. Passport
Absentee Ballot Examination
At 9:00 AM on Monday, June 8, 2026, the County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will begin its examination of absentee ballot return envelopes at:

Provisional Ballot Hearings
The county board of canvassers will hold hearings to determine the validity of all provisional ballots. All hearings will be held at the Berkeley County Voter Registration Office, 1003 Highway 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
- Primary: Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM
- Runoff (if necessary): Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM
Precincts & Polling Places
The following precincts and polling places will be open during the primaries and runoffs from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
Polling places are subject to change. Always verify your polling location at scVOTES.gov before election day.
