Any person wishing to file as a non-partisan candidate in the November 3, 2026, General Election for Berkeley County School Board seat representing Districts 2, 4, 6, or 8 must do so by filing a Statement of Candidacy Form with the Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections Office.

Public Notice of Special Election
A Special election in the City of Hanahan will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
Only the electors living within the municipal boundaries of the City of Hanahan may participate in this election.

Photo ID Requirement
Voters will be asked to provide one of the following Photo IDs at their polling place:
- S.C. Driver’s License
- S.C. DMV ID Card
- S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
- Federal Military ID
- U.S. Passport
Voters without a Photo ID can obtain one free of charge from their county voter registration office or the Department of Motor Vehicles. For more information, visit scVOTES.gov or contact the Berkeley County Board of Voter Registration and Elections.
