Department Functions
To economically and efficiently maintain and /or replace facility equipment throughout Berkeley County and continuously seek new and improved methods of facility maintenance. Our team is dedicated to provide clean, attractive and hazard-free buildings and grounds for our employees and all citizens. Our goal is to respond to our customer’s facility needs with quality work and service. We are always mindful of the trust that has been bestowed upon us for the management and maintenance of our county facilities.
We have our own in-house maintenance and landscaping staff, therefore, we rarely issue RFP’s. We do not issue any permits or conduct inspections. All permit questions should be directed to the Permitting Department and inspections should be directed to the Codes Department.
The Facilities & Grounds Department’s normal hours of operation are 7am to 3pm Monday – Friday.
If you have an Emergency outside of these hours or during a county holiday, please call the Primary on-call cellphone number at 854-219-3387. If you do not receive a response in a reasonable amount of time, please call the Secondary on-call cellphone at (843) 925-9806.
